The Black Sheep is one of Ashland local’s favorites.  It is a genuine English style pub that serves beer, spirits and authentic English fare.

Furnished with big tables, a comfy couch, a fire place and a dart room, “the sheep” is a great place to meet friends for happy hour or for dinner and a game of darts.  Lately some of us have been trying our hand at darts while sipping black and tans and enjoying a big plate of English “chips”.  (pete is not very good at darts by the way!)

The Black Sheep sits above the plaza and has a great view of downtown. It also happens to be the best place in town to get a frothy pint of Guinness!

Liquid assets sits right in the heart of downtown Ashland, steps away from the Shakespeare Festival.   It is one of Ashland’s newer establishments and offers a full menu, extensive wine list and local art and music.  The bar is comfortable and nice with bar seating as well as large, soft chairs and sofas so you can enjoy your glass of wine while feeling the comforts of home.  Located right on N. Main, Liquid Assets is the perfect stop for a glass of wine with friends or a light meal before a show.  It is the place to be on Ashland’s First Friday Art Walk for some great local art and a delicious glass of vino; the perfect combination!

This one goes under “Our favorite watering holes section”.

Caldera Tap House is the local hang out with award winning beers, simple comfort and large open deck.  The bar hosts weekly music events including open mics and local bluegrass jams.  It is located just off the main drag and sits next to Ashland Creek.

They offer the standard bar menu, a full bar and have great happy hour specials.  We love heading out to the deck with a pint after a great day on the mountain, river, trail, etc.

Let’s go have a pint at the Caldera Tap House!

The historic Rogue Theatre is located in downtown Grants Pass Oregon, just 45 minutes north of Ashland.  It is a fabulous venue for music in Rogue Valley.  Musicians such as Taj Mahal, Gillian Welch, David Grisman and many others have graced the Rogue’s stage over the years.

The theatre sits in the heart of downtown Grants Pass which is located along the waters of the Rogue River.  The historic theatre offers inexpensive shows and a beer and wine bar for most events.

Recently some of the Momentum crew took in a show at the Rogue Theatre that proved to be fantastic!  The line up included Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings and several members of the band Old Crow Medicine Show.  The music was incredible and the venue was the same.  Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a comfortable, intimate  and wonderful musical experience.
